The base 2020 Lexus GS 350 with all-wheel drive starts at

$51,065, which is high for a luxury midsize car. Base models with

$52,760 with rear-wheel drive or $54,505 with all-wheel drive

GS Interior

How Many People Does the GS Seat?
The 2020 Lexus GS has seating for up to five. Standard 10-way

power-adjustable front seats help the driver find a comfortable

seating position, and these seats have ample support. The back row

is also quite roomy.

All-wheel-drive base models come standard with synthetic leather

upholstery, heated front seats, and memory settings for the driver's

seat, power-adjustable steering wheel, and side view mirrors.

Rear-wheel-drive models add leather upholstery, ventilated front

seats, and either a 16-way power-adjustable driver's seat in the

regular GS or 10-way power-adjustable front sport seats in the F

Sport.

GS and Child Car Seats

There are two complete sets of LATCH connectors for the rear

outboard seats and an upper tether for the middle seat.

GS Interior Quality

The GS’ upscale cabin features standard synthetic leather

upholstery, which earns praise for its quality. First-class

enhancements like wood and aluminum accent pieces and genuine

leather upholstery are also available.

GS Cargo Space

With 18.4 cubic feet of space, the standard GS' trunk is one of the

biggest in the class. You won't be able to fold the rear seats down,

but there's a narrow pass-through for lengthy cargo. The trunk in

the GS F is a bit smaller with 14 cubic feet of space.

GS Infotainment, Bluetooth, and Navigation

The GS' standard infotainment system has a large 12.3-inch

display with navigation. Unfortunately, it features the fussy mouse

like Remote Touch controller that's distracting to operate while the

vehicle is in motion.

Additional standard features include Amazon Alexa, a 12-speaker

premium audio system, voice commands, Siri Eyes Free, HD

Radio, Bluetooth, and a USB port. A 17-speaker Mark Levinson

premium audio system is available.

Android Auto and Apple Car Play are not available.

GS Performance

GS Engine: Two Strong Engines

A 311-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine powers both the GS 350 and

GS 350 F Sport. This engine has plenty of power. An even stronger

467-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 engine is available in the high-level

Lexus GS F. This model can sprint from zero to 60 mph in under 5

seconds. Unfortunately, the GS F has a steep $85,010 starting price.

Rear-wheel-drive models are paired with an eight-speed automatic

transmission, while all-wheel-drive models come with a six-speed

automatic. Both transmissions are smooth and responsive.

GS Gas Mileage: Subpar

The rear-wheel-drive 2020 Lexus GS 350 delivers 20 mpg in the

city and 28 mpg on the highway, which is slightly below the class

average. All-wheel-drive models get 1 less mpg in the city and 2

less mpg on the highway. The F Sport delivers 19/27 mpg

city/highway, and the GS F model returns 16/24 mpg city/highway.

GS Ride and Handling: Best of Both Worlds

The GS strikes an excellent balance between ride comfort and

handling agility. In addition to being nimble, it delivers a smooth

ride, even over bumpy roads. The F Sport trim adds enhancements

like a sport-tuned adjustable suspension system that allows the car

to corner with finesse. All-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive are

available.

the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has crash tested the

2020 GS. The IIHS awarded the similar 2019 GS the highest rating

of Good in three crash tests.

GS Safety Features

The GS comes standard with the Lexus Safety System+. This

includes adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, lane keep

assist, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, and

automatic high-beam headlights. Rear-wheel-drive models have

additional standard safety features, including a rear view camera

and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Available safety tech includes blind spot monitoring, rear cross

traffic alert, a head-up display, and parking sensors.

Which Lexus GS Model Is Right for Me

The 2020 Lexus GS comes in three trims: GS 350, GS 350 F

Sport, and GS F. The base 350 trim's potent 311-horsepower V6

engine and long standard features list make it a solid choice for

many shoppers.

You'll want to step up to GS 350 F Sport trim if you're craving a

livelier ride. It adds a sport-tuned adjustable suspension and Drive

Mode Select with Sport S and S+ modes that improve handling.

Choose the GS F trim to get the 467-horsepower V8.

The first two trims come with rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive,

but the top GS F trim is only available with rear-wheel drive.

Lexus GS 350

The standard GS 350 trim with all-wheel drive costs $51,065 and

features a V6 engine, an eight-speed automatic transmission, and a

Drive Mode Select system that allows you to adjust the ride quality.

The standard infotainment system features a 12.3-inch display,

navigation, Amazon Alexa, a 12-speaker premium audio system,

voice commands, HD Radio, Bluetooth, a USB port, and Siri Eyes

Free. The GS also comes standard with a moon roof, dual-zone

automatic climate control, push-button start, synthetic leather

upholstery, 10-way power-adjustable front seats, heated front seats,

and memory settings for the driver's seat, side view mirrors, and

power-adjustable steering wheel.

It's also packed with safety technology, including a rear view

camera, forward collision warning, pedestrian detection, automatic

high-beam headlights, adaptive cruise control, lane departure

warning, and lane keep assist.

Models with rear-wheel drive cost $51,395. To these models,

Lexus adds ventilated front seats, rain-sensing windshield wipers,

leather upholstery, and a power rear sunshade. Models with all-

wheel drive are available with a Premium package ($1,760) that

includes all of these features.

Lexus GS 350 F Sport

Starting at $52,760 with rear-wheel drive and $54,505 with all-

wheel drive, the F Sport adds a 16-way power-adjustable driver's

seat, front sport seats, sporty interior and exterior styling, and a

sport-tuned adjustable suspension.

Lexus GS F

The rear-wheel-drive GS F trim starts at $85,010. It has a V8

engine with 156 more horsepower than the base trim. You also get

added features like an adjustable suspension system, 10-way

power-adjustable front sport seats, blind spot monitoring, rear

cross traffic alert, and Drive Mode Select with Sport, S+, and
